Provenance: Alexander(?) Petreius (fl. 1651):  marginal comment on the gloss on 2/7r (f. 17r) of part I “et [e]mendatiora sunt: sic habet editio impressa Parisijs per Johan. Preuel anno 1523:  quam editione[m] legi et habeo Al. petreius ann. 1651”.
Johannes Kolb (17th century):  inscription “Liber Joh[ann]is Kolb ...” on 49/6v (f. 468v) of part I.
S.D. (17th century):  initials “S D” stamped in gilt on both covers of both volumes - the same initials are stamped as a set on part IV of the Library’s copy of Biblia latina, Nuremberg: Anton Koberger, [1486-]87 (B59/2, shelfmark Bo1-d.4).
University of Glasgow:  source unknown;  mid 18th-century University Library shelfmarks “BX f2 n1” and “BX f2 n3” (both scored through) on 1/2r of part I and on 1/1r of part III respectively;  shelfmarks “CE.2.6” and “CE.2.8” on University Library bookplates matching entry in A. Arthur, Catalogus impressorum librorum in Bibliotheca Universitatis Glasguensis (Glasguae: 1791).
Binding: 17th-century calf;  covers decorated with a triple fillet border in blind;  initials “S D” in gilt on both covers of both volumes (see Provenance);  evidence of two clasps in each volume (all now lost);  sprinkled red-edged leaves;  rebacked in 19th/20th century with oval stamp of Glasgow College Library added in gilt to spines.   Size:  302 x 212 mm.
Leaf size: 298 x 201 mm.
Annotations: Part I:  marginal annotations, nota marks and manicules in a 15th/16th-century hand in quires 1-4, very occasional marginal annotations thereafter.   Part III:  without annotations.
Decoration: None. 
Imperfections: Wanting parts II and IV;  wanting the blank leaf 1/1 of part I and bifolium 13/1.2 of part III.
