Currently residing outside of the UK:
In common with other mental health support services, the student counselling service is legally not permitted to offer therapy to any students currently residing outside of the UK.
For students out with the UK we are making the following recommendations:
The Samaritans:
Alongside an organisation called Befrienders Worldwide the Samaritans are helping to offer support lines in many countries throughout the world. The drop down for numbers by country is at the top right of this page: https://www.befrienders.org/
Togetherall:
Online mental health information, advice and guidance via Togetherall continues to be available to all students with their GUID, regardless of location: https://togetherall.com/
GP & Primary Health Care Provider:
We would encourage students to speak to their doctor to explore what support is available to them from their primary care provider whilst they are outside the UK.
