Example
Course grade calculation where one, or more, in-course assessment has been missed due to industrial action:
Two in-course assessments have been missed
i. In-course assessment 1 – 15% = no grade
ii. In course assessment 2 – 15% = no grade
Two further components have been assessed
iii. Final exam – 50% = B1
iv. Coursework assignment – 20% = C3
Calculate the course result on the basis of the .70 marks that have been achieved retaining the original weighting:
(.50 x B1) + (.20x C3)
(.50 x 17) + (.20x 12)
= 8.5 + 2.4 = 10.9
Accounting for the missing elements, adjust to the .70 completed element:
10.9/.70 = 15.571
= 16
= B2
