UK and Overseas Collaborations
Academic Collaborations (AC) supports the development of collaborations in the UK and internationally where these lead to a University of Glasgow award (degree) or involve shared responsibility for teaching or supervision. These includes:
- Joint Degrees (taught and research).
- Dual, double or multiple degrees (taught and research).
- Articulation arrangements.
- Teaching services.
AC provides advice and support to colleagues across the University in the early stages of development and ensures the relevant scrutiny of planned collaborations is carried out in accordance with University policy. The office also supports the drafting and execution of any legal agreements that are needed to manage risks to the University and to ensure the best learning experience for students.
Our work spans collaborations established through direct work with our strategic partners internationally and those developed through emerging partnerships where there is mutual benefit to the institution and students. Some collaborations are established under the auspices of UK and European funding schemes such as Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) in the UK and Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and Joint Doctoral programmes in the EU.
The External Relations Directorate maintains a map outlining the broad range of international partnerships in place. This can be found on the University's internationalisation web pages.
AC maintains a record of any agreements with UK and international partners. If you would like to know whether an agreement has already been established please contact us.
