This workshop introduces the topic of Decolonising the Curriculum and outlines an approach to plan, assess and review curriculum changes. We will consider our teaching materials and practices through the lens of decoloniality and identify typical barriers. Participants will be invited to discuss – and, if time allows, workshop – decolonising strategies that are compatible with the objectives of upcoming courses. The workshop is open to all and will be particularly useful for academic and professional staff who teach international and/or diverse student cohorts.

This session is open to staff of the University of Glasgow. Graduate Teaching Assistants are welcome to register for the purpose of developing their own teaching practice, but please note that these sessions are not suitable for any students seeking training for their own PhD research projects. Contact your School for information on the research methods training available to you as a student. For the avoidance of doubt as to eligibility, please register using your staff email address
