There are many examples of excellent practice in feedback at the University of Glasgow. Some of these are contained in the case studies below, but there are others that we have yet to capture too. Case study: Reflective Exercises

Students are encouraged to reflect on their feedback through reflective exercises and workshops. As a result, they are able to interpret their feedback constructively and identify areas for improvement. The students can use these skills for subsequent assignments and apply them to different subjects.

Case study: Multiple feedback perspectives and group work

On this course, students are involved in the feedback process by giving self-reflective feedback and peer feedback to group presentations. The multiple feedback perspectives increase the visibility, amount and diversity of feedback, and enable the students to reflect on different aspects of their individual and group performance from different perspectives.

Case study: Using Aropä for peer reviewing and assessment

Through Aropä, a free peer-review portal, the students review and provide feedback on each other’s essay drafts. The use of Aropä facilitates and structures the peer reviewing process, enabling it to become part of the course assessment.
