International Welcome - January 2026 Schedule

Join us for a week of activities designed to help you settle into university life, make new friends, and explore your new city! From campus tours and cultural workshops to social events and practical information sessions, Welcome Week is your chance to connect with other international students and get the support you need for a successful start.

All events are free but please book to secure a space. Please note all times are in UK time.

Kelvingrove Museum Tour and Organ Recital

Campus Walking Tour

Discover Glasgow University with one of our campus walking tours! The tour introduces you to key buildings, useful facilities, and a bit of our history, helping you get your bearings. You’ll also receive a complimentary hot drink to enjoy along the way.

Hunterian Museum Tour

International Student Induction Talk and Mixer

Our International Student Induction is designed to help you settle into life in the UK and at the University. After the talk, we'll be playing Human Bingo where you'll have the chance to meet other students and win prizes.

*This is a general talk for all new students starting in January. There may be some overlap with the Study Abroad Talk, but all are welcome to attend*

Glasgow Street Art Tour

Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2026 · 11:00–12:30

On this 1.5 hour walk there’s no cathedrals, grand buildings or monuments, you will experience the real Glasgow. You’ll meander down alleys and under bridges to uncover some of the city’s most beautiful pieces of art that are taking over the walls by storm. All with a local, expert guide.
