Join us for a dedicated Fraud Awareness session designed to help you stay safe during your time at the University of Glasgow. You will hear practical advice on fraud and scams that specifically target international students, and learn how to recognise, avoid, and report them.
The first hour will be led by representatives from International Student Support, Student Support Officers, Safeguarding, UofG Security, and the SRC, who will share guidance and answer your questions.
This will be followed by a 30-minute session delivered by the Consulate General of the P.R. China in Edinburgh, focusing on consular protection, safety, and fraud awareness for Chinese students. Topics will include avoiding online scams, staying safe, and basic self-protection tips.
This session is being run as part of Citizens Advice Scams Awareness campaign week.
