In/Human: The Body as Resource is a day-event, a hybrid of performance, workshop and symposium that explores our understanding of the body and how its evolution is accelerating towards an unknown, posthuman, horizon. The works presented consider how science, technology and media co-opt individual bodies to monetise expertise, produce ideology and generate content. The event will centre on themes present in the objects collected by William Hunter (1718-1783) which included scientific instruments and specimens, as well as paintings and coins.
The event includes: Kathryn Ashill (UK); Marcel Broodthaers (BE), Sarah Browne (IR); Christian Fogarolli (IT); Michael Grey (US), Anja Kirschner and David Panos (DE/GR) and Mihnea Mircan (RO).

In/Human: The Body as Resource has been realised by MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) through access to The Hunterian’s collections with support from museum and gallery staff. The MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) course was established jointly between the University of Glasgow and The Glasgow School of Art in 2014.
