A tour of the ‘Colour, Rhythm and Form’ exhibition followed by lectures focussing on aspects of Fergusson’s art and its contexts: the avant-garde in France 1907-1939; sculpture; music and the Celtic Ballet; Modernism and the Scottish Renaissance; conservation. Colour, Rhythm and Form: J. D. Fergusson in France and Scotland

This one-day symposium is organised by the Department for Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) and examines Fergusson's contribution to art in Britain and France, his artistic legacy and his wide-ranging cultural links with contemporary literature, music and dance. Professor Alan Riach, Alexander Moffat, Dr Laurence Grove and Jennifer Kinnear will be among the speakers at this special event.
