Uncover the science behind flowers' vibrant hues with researchers from the University of Glasgow
Ever wondered what shapes a flower’s colourful palette? Join University of Glasgow researchers to uncover the science behind flowers’ vibrant hues. Make your own colour changing flower in our lab and explore how changes in the environment can transform the shades that flowers display.
Seasonal Blossoms was developed as part of Glasgow Science Festival in Action, a training scheme run by GSF to support University of Glasgow PhD students to develop their public engagement skills. The team of PhD students from the Colleges of Science & Engineering and Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences were briefed to create family-friendly activities linked to the festival theme, Cheers for 20 Years. Atharv Kapoor, Meghana Guru Prasad, Bhavika Choukhani, Subasni Ganesan, Maryam Aziz and Utkarsh Tiwari did an amazing job and we hope you enjoy the activities.
