Come and find out with us the value of coastal environments within Scotland, both to ecosystems and people!

Have you ever thought of exploring the origins of Gaelic place-names, such as Rudha Aosail Sligeach on the Isle of Skye or Camas a' Mhaoraich on Loch Broom? Or have you ever listened to a Gaelic songs about shellfish harvesting? No?

Well this will be a perfect opportunity for you to discover this incredible aspect of Scottish culture! Apart from learning a lot you will also be able to create your own story around your coastal experiences or memories.

The workshop will present findings of the recent NERC-funded multidisciplinary Oyster Habitat Suitability project involving staff in the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine (MVLS), School of Geography & Earth Sciences (CoSE) and School of Humanities (Arts).
