The Burns Supper Addressed

This inaugural Global Burns event took place on Friday 29 January 2021, and was entitled The Burns Supper Addressed. 

The Art of the Burns Supper

The second Global Burns event took place on Tuesday 25 January 2022, and featured the virtual unveiling of David Mach's artwork The Flying Haggis.

Burns & Adam Smith

The third Global Burns event took place on Tuesday 24 January 2023, and featured an in depth panel discussion on the similarities and impacts two of Scotlands most famous names had on one another.

Burns Studies at Glasgow: Past, Present and Future

The fourth Global Burns took place on Wednesday 24 January 2024, and celebrated the award of the Queens Anniversary Prize to the University of Glasgow in recognition of the range and impact of the projects undertaken at the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, chiefly 'Editing and Curating Robert Burns for the 21st Century'.

Burns and the Environment

The 2025 Global Burns marks our 5th year of Global Burns. This year we are joined by Panellists Professor Nigel Leask, Dr Pauline Mackay, Dr Clark McGinn and Dr Ronnie Young shareing their thoughts on this important emerging research from the Centre for Robert Burns Studies.
