University of Glasgow Medical School building

Venue

The conference will take place in the campus of the University of Glasgow. With its combination of Gothic Revival and modern architecture, the University provides an impressive setting in the heart of the city's vibrant West End. The Western Infirmary Lecture Theatre (pictured right) will be used for plenary sessions with workshops also held in the Wolfson Medical Building (pictured above).

The conference includes a "Ceilidh" on the Wednesday evening (12 September 2007) and this will be held in the grand setting of the University's Bute Hall.

A Civic Reception will take place at Glasgow City Council's City Chambers on the Thursday evening (13 Septmber 2007).

The remainder of the city's many attractions are readily accessible and Scotland's spectacular and unspoilt mountain and coastal scenery is within easy reach. September can be a very good time to holiday in Scotland.
