2026-27 Research Seminar: Call for papers open

We invite submissions for the upcoming series of the Political Economy Futures Forum, an interdisciplinary seminar for critical and cutting-edge research at the intersection of economics, politics, and society. The series is open to scholars across the social sciences, including political science, sociology, law, history, management, anthropology and economics. We seek papers that explore the dynamics of power, institutions, and resources from diverse methodological and theoretical perspectives. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
  • The political foundations of economic systems
  • Legal and institutional architectures of markets
  • Historical transformations of capitalism and the state
  • Organizational power and corporate governance
  • Global governance, trade, and development
  • Labor, inequality, and social movements
  • Technological change and regulatory regimes
  • Political economy of climate, health, or digital infrastructures
We particularly welcome interdisciplinary contributions that push the boundaries of conventional disciplinary silos. The seminar series will be held fortnightly during the autumn semester on Tuesdays from 11:30 to 12:30 in the Advanced Research Centre, room 225. 

Early career researchers and advanced doctoral students are especially encouraged to apply. All submissions will be reviewed by a cross-disciplinary committee. Please submit (here) by 11 September 2026 for full consideration.
