Come and join our exciting new initiative called CheMNet. Our inaugural event is on the 8th July in the ARC, University of Glasgow and online (refreshments from 10:00 and starting at 10:30 until 16:00). The Chemicals, Waste and Pollution Prevention Stakeholder Network (CheMNet) is an interdisciplinary opportunity to network, undertake knowledge exchange, forge new collaborations for research and KTP applications, to identify knowledge gaps that the community can explore funding opportunities within and much more.

In the morning among other things, we have a series of invited speaker spotlight presentations planned, followed by a panel discussion with attendee interactions. The afternoon component will include a World Café style activity to identify what we already know, the missing gaps, the way forward for chemicals, waste and pollution prevention, and the opportunity to build collaborative consortiums for funding applications, or other initiatives of interest. Finally, there will also be an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the CheMNet network.

Refreshment and lunch are provided for in-person attendees.

Our amazing, invited speakers include: Dr Lydia Niemi (Researcher, University of Highlands and Islands), Dr Chris Hughes (Founder, Embark Chemicals Consulting), Stephanie Metzger (Policy Advisor, Royal Society of Chemistry) Keith James (Head of Public Sector Partnerships, WRAP) and Brian Rae (Operations Manager, Environment and Place Service, Keep Scotland Beautiful).

The network welcomes internal and external members!
