Early Career Researcher Catalyst
Call Opens: Autumn 2018
Funding from Wellcome's Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF) aims to provide ECR's with an opportunity to apply for their own funding and assist them in gaining research independence. Interdisciplinary research projects are encouraged however, applicants must be MVLS researchers. Awards of up to £20k are expected and must be complete within a year. Excellence and Innovation Catalyst
Call Opens: Autumn 2018
Funding from Wellcome's Institutional Strategic Support Fund is designed to pump-prime projects to kick start innovative new research. Projects should show demonstrable potential for securing external funding leverage and interdisciplinary projects are encouraged. Awards are expected to be up to £30k and must be lead by MVLS researcher with projects completed within the year. For more information contact mvls-issf@glasgow.ac.uk or visit the website.
Feasibility Scheme
Funding through the Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund is available to support small scale pilot or feasibility studies with 'omics. Projects should be novel and interdisciplinary projects are encouraged. Awards of up to £5K are expected to cover running an 'omics experiment and associated data analysis and must be spent in Glasgow Polyomics.
