Tan Teck Lee MIET receives the prestigious IET Volunteer Medal

We are proud to celebrate University of Glasgow alumnus Tan Teck Lee MIET, recipient of the prestigious IET Volunteer Medal at IET Savoy Place, London, on 17 October 2025.
Selected from a global community of 7,000+ volunteers across 148 countries, Teck Lee stood out for his extraordinary dedication to engineering and community impact.
As Chair of the IET Singapore Network and Power & Energy Section, Teck Lee organised 30 technical events in 2024 addressing societal challenges aligned with the IET’s mission to engineer a better world. He has also built collaborations with leading engineering institutions and academic partners, mentored young engineers, and championed professional development across borders.
With over three decades in the power and energy sector, Teck Lee exemplifies leadership, innovation, and service. His journey shows that volunteering is about giving from the heart and inspiring others with passion.
