Take your first steps into the language with this practical, 10-hour short course. You’ll begin building essential communication skills, learning some basic vocabulary, how to greet people, and handle everyday situations—whether you’re ordering in a café or browsing in shops.
You’ll also get an inspiring introduction to the culture and daily life of the regions where the language is spoken—perfect for curious learners or future travellers.

Who is this course for?
This course is recommended for absolute beginners who have had very little or no contact with the language before.

Mode of study
10 hours (5 x 2-hour sessions)
Language classes are interactive and collaborative, with plenty of exposure to the language and many opportunities to practise and learn with your peers.
Prospects
At this basic level you’ll be able to take part in very simple exchanges in some common everyday situations, for example as a visitor in an area where the language is spoken.
