Biography
Laura Sharp is a Professor of Pedagogy in the School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. She leads teaching and learning enhancement, with a focus on student-centred, equitable, and inclusive education. Her scholarship work spans digital education, improvement methodologies, and academic integrity, with a strong emphasis on student voice. A Principal Fellow of Advance HE, Laura regularly shares her expertise through talks, workshops, and publications.
Laura has led projects adopting qualitative and quantitative methodologies across a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, including infant feeding, child growth, parenting, female safety on public transport, HIV stigma, and suicide prevention. She has also contributed to national audits and policy reviews in areas such as postnatal depression, education reform, and social security. Her work with underrepresented and hard-to-reach groups, has strengthened her ability effectively collaborate with learners from diverse backgrounds in projects focused on belonging and inclusion.

Laura’s teaching philosophy is rooted in clarity and continuous improvement.
