Sam qualified in 2001and joined the Oncology service within the Small Animal Hospital in 2003. Sam worked within the service for many years during which time she successfully gained her RCVS Advanced Diploma in Medicine, a BSc top-up degree in Veterinary Nursing, and an MSc in Veterinary Clinical Sciences investigating the role of C-reactive protein as a biomarker in dogs with lymphoma. Sam is currently a Lecturer and is Director of the MSc Advanced Practice in Veterinary Nursing and Module Leader within the BVMS programme. In addition Sam is the SAH Deputy Nursing Services Manager, where she co-manages a team of approximately 60 veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants.
