Who works in Scotland's arts, culture and heritage sectors? How does engagement and participation vary across different communities and places?

Join us online on Wednesday 24 June (12-1.30 pm) for the launch of the latest report in Creative PEC's flagship State of the Nations research series, 'Audiences and workforce in arts, culture and heritage sectors: Recent trends and evidence for Scotland', in partnership with the AHRC Place-Based Research Programme team at the University of Glasgow.

Drawing on Scottish census data, the report provides new insights into audiences and workforces in the arts, culture and heritage sectors across Scotland. The report is authored by Professor Mark Taylor (University of Sheffield) and Professor Dave O’Brien (University of Manchester) and will be accompanied by new interactive dashboards that enable users to explore arts, culture and heritage workforce and engagement data at council area level, providing a valuable evidence base to support policy development, place-based cultural interventions and strategic decision-making. 

Report co-author Mark Taylor will present the findings of the report, followed by a panel chaired by Professor Rebecca Madgin (University of Glasgow, AHRC Place-based Research Programme Director) and featuring experts from across Scotland's creative industries.
