Dr Hugo Defienne

Biography
Hugo Defienne got his PhD in 2015 in the Kastler-Brossel laboratory in Paris under the supervision of Prof Sylvain Gigan on Quantum optics in disordered media. He extended his research scope to quantum imaging as a post-doctorate at Princeton University in Prof. Jason Fleischer's group. In 2018, he joint Prof. Daniele Faccio's group as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow to extend his quantum imaging expertise to single-photon avalanche detector cameras. He is now Lecturer in the School of Physics and Astronomy since June 2019, developping quantum approaches for imaging through scattering media, including biological tissues.
