Dr Guangliang Yang, a member of the Nuclear Physics group, has won the second prize for best oral presentation at the 12th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments (ICEMI 2015), held on 16-19 July, 2015, in Qingdao, China. His talk, entitled “Application of Muon Tomography to Encapsulated Nuclear Waste”, reported on the work by the team in nuclear physics that is working with the National Nuclear Laboratory and Sellafield Ltd..

ICEMI is the world's premier conference in the field, and is convened every two years. It is dedicated to the electronic test of devices, modules and systems, and covers the complete cycle from design, verification, test, diagnosis, failure analysis as well as process and design improvement.
