Mr Taylor McGilvary

  • Technician (Molecular Biosciences)

Biography

Taylor is a research technician within the Woodling Lab, working on several projects related to the role of receptor tyrosine kinases in ageing and optimising gene expression systems for use in the fruit fly (Drosophila). He has a core background in Medical Sciences and Cancer Biology, having completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at The University of Edinburgh (2022) and Imperial College London (2024), respectively. He is particularly interested in the aged tissue microenvironment and how the signalling pathways therein could be modulated to both increase healthy longevity and alter the onset/progression of age-related diseases like cancer.
