Mo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from Cairo in 2016. Following graduation, he worked as a General Dental Practitioner with his practice focused on Restorative Dentistry, particularly Endodontics. That said, he served as resident doctor at FUE Endodontic Microscopic Centre.

In 2020, he moved to Glasgow, where he earned an MSc in Oral Sciences (Merit) and a clinical master's degree in Endodontology (Distinction). In 2024, he was appointed as a Clinical Lecturer in Endodontology at the University of Glasgow Dental School, and in 2026, he was appointed as Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry.

As a Senior Clinical Lecturer, he serves as Deputy Academic Lead for Undergraduate Endodontics, Programme Co-Deputy Director MSc (Dental Science) Endodontics, and Programme Deputy Director for MSc Endodontlogy. Additionally, he lectures for the MSc Oral Scienences programme.

He is a member of Glasgow Endodontology Group (GEG) and British Endodontic Society (BES).

My research interests focus on contemporary endodontic biologic approaches, with particular emphasis on vital pulp therapy (VPT) and the diagnosis and management of maxillary sinusitis of endodontic origin (MSEO).

I am especially interested in the biological basis of pulp healing, clinical decision-making for conservative pulp therapies, and the long-term outcomes of procedures such as partial and full pulpotomy using bioactive materials.

In parallel, my research interests include the endodontic–sinus interface, with a focus on improving diagnostic accuracy of MSEO through clinical assessment and cone-beam computed tomography, understanding its pathophysiology, and optimizing interdisciplinary treatment strategies
