Bruce/ Dr Hogan graduated BDS with Honours from the University of Glasgow in 1987. After spending some time in hospital practice, he spent most of his career in general practice and ran a private practice in Glasgow's west end for almost 25 years. Throughout his career, Bruce/ Dr Hogan retained a keen interest in undergraduate and postgraduate dental education. Having sold his practice in 2023, Bruce/ Dr Hogan has taken up a part-time post as Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental Hospital where he is involved in chairside and tutorial teaching, as well as examiner duties.
