Biography

Shanti Williamson joined the School of Law in 2000 as a Lecturer in Medical Law. Since then, she has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, mainly in the area of Medical Law. She now works part-time in a teaching focussed role as a University Teacher in Law.

Shanti currently co-convenes and teaches on the Principles of Healthcare Law (level 3) and Contemporary Issues in Healthcare Law (level 4) courses. She is also convenor of the Legal Profession and Legal Ethics course (level 2) and she tutors on this course, as well as on the Introduction to Legal Studies course (level 1).

In addition to her teaching commitments, Shanti is also an Adviser of Studies (LLB) and she is a member of the College of Social Science Research Ethics Committee.

Medical law, especially genetics.
