Andy Sirel, Solicitor, Young Persons’ Project at Legal Services Agency

Andy works in the Women and Young Persons’ Department at LSA.  Amongst others, he represents unaccompanied asylum seeking children and child victims of human trafficking.  He specialises in the ECHR, refugee law, human trafficking and the rights of the child.    Prior to working at LSA, he was a legal officer in the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the ECtHR at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.  Andy also has several years’ experience in teaching the ECHR at the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde at both undergraduate honours and masters levels.
