Tributes have been paid to Professor (Emeritus) Cathair ‘Cathal’ Ó Dochartaigh, who passed away earlier this month.

Tributes have been paid to Professor (Emeritus) Cathair ‘Cathal’ Ó Dochartaigh, who passed away earlier this month.

He was Professor of Celtic at the University of Glasgow between 1996 and 2004.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 26 February, 11.30am, at Clydebank Crematorium, Mountblow Road, Clydebank G81 4SL. It will be followed by a reception at Café Source, 32 Hughenden Road, Glasgow, G12 9XP (near Gartnavel Hospital, just off Great Western Road).

Cathal’s son, Ruairi, has asked those who intend to join them afterwards to let him know so he can arrange the requisite catering.
