Biography

Rosie is a Research Assistant in the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) research group within the School of Health and Wellbeing, working on the NIHR-funded MicMac project evaluating the impact of income support policies on health inequalities across the life course.

Rosie has an interdisciplinary background drawing from both evolutionary theory and the social sciences. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, she completed a PhD at the University of Exeter, using life-history theory to examine how historical social and economic policy changes shaped health, education and socioeconomic outcomes across the life course and generations. She also holds an MRes in Primatology from Roehampton University and a BSc in Human Sciences from UCL.

Research interests

Rosie’s research examines how social and economic conditions shape health and wellbeing across the life course, with a focus on policy impacts and inequalities. She uses quantitative methods (frequentist and Bayesian) in R and is committed to open and reproducible science. She also has experience developing R Shiny apps for public engagement.
