Biography
I am a Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow. My research interests focus on designing and evaluating experiences of digital schools, with a particular interest in games. I am interested in how we approach the designs that consider users voice and how we evaluate digital tools in terms of their usability, accessibility and intended experience. I have a keen interest in digital tool use in third sectors such as health and wellbeing, education and skills development.
I am currently contributing towards two projects:
- Feasibility of Effective, Fast, Embedded Clinical Tools (EFECT) - exploring digital tools feasibility in wider NHS use
- School Attachment Monitor (SAM) – Evaluating the user experience and deployability of a game based approach to attachment assessment.
I completed an undergraduate degree in Game Design and Production Management at Abertay University in 2015. I completed a masters of research in Digital Health and Wellness at University of Strathclyde in 2017. In-between studies, I have worked in the Video Game industry as both a designer and quality assurance tester before moving into a quality assurance consultant and project management role for digital technology. I started a PhD at the University of York and Queen Mary University London as part of the intelligent games and games intelligence (iGGi) scholarship.
