Biography
I joined the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) research group in December 2025 as a Research Assistant. I am currently working on the HEED project, which evaluates the causal effect of unemployment on health outcomes. My previous experience includes a medical degree in Peru, which I later complemented with a Master of Public Health at the University of Washington in the United States.
Research interests
My research experience lies at the intersection of epidemiology and health data science, with a focus on generating high‑quality evidence to address global health challenges:
- Estimating disease burden and modeling using diverse data sources
- Non-communicable disease epidemiology, particularly in Latin America
- Cardiometabolic multimorbidity across the life course
- Using causal inference methods for modelling the impact of health interventions
