Biography
I am a psychologist by trade and have recently worked as social health researcher within the University of Glasgow, where I am currently working as post-doctoral research assistant. My current work is part of a research project that focuses on using elicitation methods to better understand and support the move towards a more sustainable NHS and healthcare system.
I believe that research and healthcare practice should be closely intertwined and that climate change and sustainability are (now more than ever) at the core of everything. This is why I am so passionate about combining both sustainability and health(care) research.
This was also reflected in my PhD research, which investigated the emotional wellbeing impacts of climate change in Scottish students and the British public. I completed my PhD in 2026 (fully funded by the Scottish Graduate School for Social Science). I also previously completed an MSc in Research Methods (2022; likewise funded by SGSSS), as well as an MA (Hons) in Psychology in 2020.
Research interests
My research interests are centred around sustainability, sustainable healthcare and healthcare systems, (mental) health and wellbeing related to climate change, and the intersection of it all.
My previous research has focused on climate anxiety, climate change-related emotions, and coping with climate change-related mental health impacts. My current research is part of a larger project that investigates ways to make NHS healthcare more sustainable by using stakeholder-informed data.
I am particularly experienced with quantitative survey studies and statistics but also have experience with interviews and qualitative analyses.
