A group of HEHTA researchers attended the Universitas 21 ECR Workshop in Nottingham in September.
HEHTA researchers Dikshyanta Rana, Lili Wei and Ryan Mulholland were selected to attend the Universitas 21 ECR Workshop, 1-5th September 2025, hosted by the University of Nottingham. The annual ECR Workshop is intended to provide opportunities for networking and collaboration for researchers at the early stages of their careers, recognising that inter-disciplinary research is integral to developing solutions to address complex global issues.
Attended by over 70 delegates from 25 international research institutions, the theme for this year's workshop was Living Well Across the Lifecourse. It included sessions on inclusive, co-designed research, engaging with interest-holders and industry, and research leadership, and concluded with a challenge: for small, inter-disciplinary groups to develop and pitch an idea for a research programme or initiative to address a health disparity to an expert panel. The researchers thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, particularly forming new connections with researchers from around the world working across a wide range of disciplines, and strongly encourage others to attend in future.
