The MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit has published the third Social Systems Recovery Report (SSR), "Environment and Spaces Group Report"

The report, led by Dr Jon Olsen and Professor Rich Mitchell, shows that there were sharp inequalities in visiting green and open space in Spring 2021, preventing some people from experiencing the mental health benefits associated with use of outdoor space.

The report also identifies areas that require priority action by the Scottish Government, Local Authorities, the NHS and the third sector to support pandemic recovery.

It was published on behalf of the Public Health Scotland Social & Systems Recovery (S&SR) Environment & Spaces Group.
