Join the event to hear about the University of Glasgow College of Science and Engineering research facilities, the equipment available, their capabilities, services and how you can access them.
The showcase will introduce:
- MATCH - The Materials Characterisation Hub offers advanced materials characterisation services. The hub provides expertise and access to techniques including MicroCT, XPS, 3D-ED, ICP-OES, and thermal analysis, supporting the analysis of structure, composition and properties across a wide range of materials.
- GEMS - Geoanalytical Electron Microscopy & Spectroscopy provides centimeter-to-nanometer scale imaging, chemical characterisation and detailed microstructural analysis of diverse materials.
- Mechanobiology Facility provides access to devices for the biophysical and biomechanical characterisation and manufacturing of biological samples and biomaterials across scales, from molecules to cells and tissues. Alongside instrumentation, the facility offers technical support and expertise, ensuring users receive both practical assistance and scientific guidance.
- KNC - Kelvin Nanocharacterisation Centre provides imaging and analysis of materials at length-scales from the sub-millimetre to the atomic scale Over lunch you will have the opportunity to network with researchers from across the University and externally at a poster session in the ARC atrium. The optional afternoon session will provide opportunities to engage with the individual facilities and find out more.
