Biography

I hold a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering by the Technical University of Crete (Greece) and a MBA by the Wrexham Glyndwr University (UK). I hold a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete (Greece). I have been certified for Cybersecurity by (ISC)2, for Privacy and Data Protection by Vellum International as GDPR Specialist and DPO, as well as for Management of Information Systems (MIS) by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Recently, I founded TALOSOFT IKE, a startup for cybersecurity and AI solutions.

I am currently a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow. In the past, I was post-doc researcher and project manager at the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) and the EU funded projects VirtuWind, SEMIoTICS, CERTCOOP, Threat-Arrest (Coordination), SPIDER, ASCAPE, PUZZLE, SMART BEAR, and CONSOLE, and at the Technical University of Crete (TUC) and the EU funded projects SecOPERA (Coordination), INTACT, SecAwarenessTruss, and GR-SME-SOC. Also, I was post-doc researcher and project manager at the TUC’s Telecommunication Systems Institute (TSI) and the EU funded project SENTINEL. Also, I worked as Chief Security Engineer and project manager at the Swiss company SPHYNX Technology Solutions AG and the projects CYRENE, COLLABS, MARVEL, and FISHY.
