Biography

Anna is the Employer Liaison Officer for Graduate Apprenticeships working with partner companies and our academic team to develop talent through our innovative apprenticeship programme. She is passionate about identifying young talent with the aim of creating career opportunities and ensuring a strong pipeline of skills for the Scottish economy.

Anna was previously the Director of UK Operations for BIMA (The British Interactive Media Association) and Scottish Digital Community Lead. The role included leading on the BIMA Digital Day schools programme (increasing school participation 5-fold), the introduction of a curated guest lecture programme with Glasgow School of Arts and the launch of a new cross-company internship “Inspiring Digital Leaders”.

Previous experience includes 4 years in the BBC Arabic Service newsroom and heading up a pan-BBC World Service change management programme. She has worked in a diverse range of industries from financial derivatives trading, petroleum engineering and spring manufacturing, spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Anna has a BA(Hons) from the University of Hull. She sits on the BIMA Scotland Council and volunteers for Code Your Future, a not-for-profit organisation training refugees in coding.
