She was awarded an NRS Clinical Research Fellowship in 2012. In 2019 she obtained her first British Heart Foundation Research Award – a Clinical Research Fellowship to fund a senior haematology trainee to undertake an MD investigating the pathophysiology underlying the increased risk of venous thrombosis in overweight and obese pregnant women.
