We would like to welcome Lilou Cluseau to SCMH!
Hi! My name is Lilou Cluseau and I have just joined the school for a 12-week internship in Professor Padmanabhan’s team. I am currently in my third year of a life-sciences bachelor’s degree at the University of Poitiers in France, and specializing in bioengineering and computing. This is my first internship and also my first time in Scotland !
I was drawn to the city and the university because of the significant research currently being led here in bio-informatics and data analysis as I would like to work in clinical trials and data management myself. Over the next three months, I will work on the relationship between hypertension and dementia, performing computer based data analysis using the Mendelian randomization method.
I hope to improve my data analysis skills and develop my knowledge on these two common conditions. I am excited to learn more about my subject and discover the Scottish culture!
