Terry has big plans for raising the profile and creating new capacity in clinical older adult research in Scotland. Much of this new research will come from University of Glasgow, for example Terry’s recent successful ESPRC £5.5M collaborative application with colleagues from Bioengineering, School of Health & Wellbeing and others. https://www.gla.ac.uk/news/headline_739038_en.html

With Terry’s appointment to this Chief Scientist Office supported role, SCMH now has three national research leads Prof Patrick Mark (renal) and Prof Jesse Dawson (stroke). In fact, all the Glasgow based research leads are from SCMH.
