Sander graduated from Utrecht University in 2015, since then he worked as a farm animal veterinarian in Meppel in the Netherlands. In 2018 he started to combine his job in the practice with joining the GD Animal Health small ruminant health section for two days a week. He started his residency with Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2020.
