Reggie JOnes

Rheinallt graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. He worked for a year in Cumbria as a farm animal veterinarian before moving to Yorkshire, to work in a mixed practice concentrating predominantly on farm animal work. During his six years in Yorkshire he studied for the RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice. At the beginning of July 2019, he started a combined Residency and Masters Programme working towards European College of Small Ruminant Health and Management (ECSRHM) diploma.

Rheinallt shares his time between the University of Glasgow and HARBRO Ltd. At HARBRO he provides:

  • Veterinary technical support to the beef and sheep nutrition team.
  • Technical support to the research and development team.
  • Training to the beef and sheep nutrition team.
  • Data analysis and interpretation service to farm businesses.

His work at HARBRO marries well with his interests at the University of Glasgow which include improving both production and financial efficiency on-farm, the role of starch in animal nutrition and faecal proteomics as a means of monitoring performance.
