2Å reconstruction and data from CRYO ARM 300 at SCMI

Published: 8 April 2020

SCMI releases the first reconstruction and underlying data from our JEOL CRYO ARM 300 and DE-64, sharing the structure of lumazine synthase solved to 2Å.

The SCMI released its first public dataset today, our 2Å reconstruction of lumazine synthase. The reconstruction can be found on the Electron Microscopy Data Bank (EMDB), with the micrographs released on the Electron Microscopy Public Image Archive (EMPIAR). The data release is a milestone for our centre and demonstrates the potential of our JEOL CRYO ARM 300, equipped with Direct Electron DE-64 detector, for solving protein structures to high resolution.
