Dr Linda Long

Biography

Linda is an experienced systematic reviewer working with both Professor Rod Taylor, where she co-ordinates the heart rehabilitation Cochrane review portfolio, and with Professor Peter Craig in the Evidence Synthesis team.

Linda has worked for the previous ten years in the Evidence Synthesis & Modelling for Health Improvement (ESMI) group based at the University of Exeter’s Medical School. Her main methodological research expertise are in systematic review methods, critiquing and synthesising findings from clinical trials, including clinical trials of complex interventions and trials to inform reimbursement and health policy. Her expertise includes comparative effectiveness and cost effectiveness methods for pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, the evaluation of cardiovascular rehabilitation interventions, synthesis of qualitative research in qualitative systematic reviews and the conduct of patient and public involvement (PPI) in systematic reviews and reports.

Linda also has experience in digital product development and worked closely with visual designers, artists, programmers and composers to develop innovative educational digital exhibits in At-Bristol Science Centre and The Eden Project. See http://molecularmusic.com/ for more information.
