Miss Dikshyanta Rana
- Research Assistant (Health Economics & Health Technology Assessment)
Dikshyanta joined HEHTA in 2018. She has experience in performing economic evaluations alongside clinical trials, decision-analytic modelling, analysing linked health data and evidence synthesis. To date, her projects have focused on diverse areas such as cardiovascular diseases, oncology, women’s health and learning disabilities.
Dikshyanta has an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York. Her MSc placement was at the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG), University of York. She obtained her undergraduate degree in BA (Hons) Economics, with Minor subjects Psychology and Sociology from Christ University, India in 2016.
Dikshyanta is involved in a range of teaching activities within HEHTA, including supervision of MSc Health Technology Assessment (MSc HTA) and Master of Public Health (MPH) students. She contributes to the development and teaching of the HTA: Policy & Principles module on our MSc HTA programme and our Future Learn micro-credentials course Introduction to Health Economics & Health Technology Assessment. She moderates the discussion forum on our Future Learn MOOC.
Dikshyanta tutors on our annual continuous professional development (CPD) courses Decision Analytic Modelling for Economic Evaluation and Evidence Synthesis for Health Technology Assessment.
Dikshyanta also develops and delivers courses for external programmes such as the Better Health Programme (BHP) in the Philippines funded by the U.K. Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office Prosperity Fund in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and FHI 360.
