Biography

Dikshyanta joined the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) team in 2018. She has experience in performing economic evaluations alongside clinical trials, decision-analytic modeling, linked health data analysis, and evidence synthesis. To date, her research has centered around the development and application of HTA methodologies in various fields, including cardiovascular diseases, learning disabilities, oncology, and women's health.

She represents our early career researchers (ECRs) in the Scottish Health Economics Early Career (SHEEC) network.

Dikshyanta holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York. Her MSc placement was at the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG), University of York. She obtained an undergraduate degree in BA (Hons) Economics, with Psychology and Sociology as additional subjects, from Christ University, India in 2016.

Teaching

Dikshyanta is involved in a range of teaching activities within HEHTA.

She co-leads the Health Economics for HTA module in our online MSc Health Technology Assessment programme. Additionally, she supervises MSc HTA and Master of Public Health (MPH) students. She also tutors on our continuous professional development (CPD) courses.

In the past, Dikshyanta has contributed to the development and delivery of courses for our Future Learn micro-credentials course 'Introduction to Health Economics & Health Technology Assessment'. Furthermore, she has been involved in the Better Health Programme (BHP) - Philippines, which was funded by the U.K. Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office Prosperity Fund in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and FHI 360.
