I have wide interests in bird and mammal ecology, with particular emphasis on the ecological consequences of physiological constraints. My work covers both field work and experimental studies with captive animals, and I am interested both in fundamental studies and in applied work such as studies on the economic damage caused by wildlife and bird of prey conservation. My research covers three main areas:

• Ecology of vultures
• Nutritional factors influencing egg production in birds
• Digestive efficiency and feeding strategy in birds and mammals
