JUST TOUR Tourism (In)Justice: Rendering a Spatial Justice Framework for Tourism
The purpose of the JUST TOUR project is to develop a framework to evaluate the use of tourism as a development tool, with a specific focus on how tourism development unfolds in different ways in different destinations and how tourism development informs the lived experiences of those who live and work in tourism destinations.
In evaluating tourism in this way, we are aiming to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including those connected to the tourism industry and those who are not.
In developing an evaluation tool, the JUST TOUR project aims to identify the value that tourism development brings to places, as well as determine place-based solutions to the challenges encountered by residents living in tourism destinations.
