JUST TOUR
JUST TOUR Tourism (In)Justice: Rendering a Spatial Justice Framework for Tourism
The purpose of the JUST TOUR project is to develop a tool to comprehensively and meaningfully evaluate resident rights within the context of tourism development, with a specific focus on how and why tourism development unfolds in different ways in different places and how these variations inform the lived experiences of those who live and work in these places.
In developing an evaluation tool, the JUST TOUR project aims to identify the value that tourism development brings to places, as well as determine place-based solutions to the challenges encountered by residents.
In evaluating tourism in this way, we are aiming to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including anyone subjected to the effects of tourism development in the case study sites (Tenerife, Spain; Gotland, Sweden; Lochaber, UK).
